What a week! I got the most amazing news. The Norwegian university of my choice has accepted my application. So that means I am officially moving to Norway for half a year!
A Hectic Week
It took some organising and then a lot of waiting. But finally, my admission at the university is all arranged. Flash forward one week and my plane tickets are bought, subrenting my room is almost arranged and I have applied for courses to follow. Now things are definitely starting to become real!
Making the Most of the Experience
I have been dreaming of going to Norway for years now. When I was seventeen and visited the city of Trondheim with my parents I already knew I wanted to study there for at least part of my study. And now that dream is finally coming true! To push myself to really make the most of my stay, I have drawn up a to-do list. That way I will be sure to experience as much of the area as possible. And of course, I will just see what comes my way. You can never plan everything ahead. But anyway, I have made a to-do list, and of course I will keep you updated on the progress every now and then!
Any Norwegian Readers?
Of course, this is a list put together on the basis of some tourist brochures and websites. I’m sure actual people from Trondheim, or Norway in general, will have a far better idea on how to experience Norwegian life to the fullest. So if you are Norwegian, or happen to know anyone who is, please let me know! I will be happy to hear both advice, warnings and just nice messages from Norway.
Have you ever been to Trondheim, or do you live there right now?

Wednesday December 31st, 2014 at 06:00 AMThat’s great news! I’d love to live in Norway. I don’t think I got to Trondheim … but I’ve been in Oslo, Lillehammer, Bergen and a bunch of small towns.
I’m a first-time visitor … where are you from? I imagine if you’re from another Nordic country, you’ll adapt even faster than someone like me from the southwest US!
Wednesday December 3rd, 2014 at 03:43 PMIt’s such a beautiful country, you are lucky to have been there as well!
Wednesday December 3rd, 2014 at 04:41 PMI am from the Netherlands, so I think I will indeed adapt faster than you would. Although after all your travels, you might be used to quite a lot, right?
I can adapt pretty well. The cold weather might be a challenge, but the Nordic countries have such a great way of life that I’d be willing to overcome it.
I’ve looked around your blog and really like your content. I’ll visit often!
