Hurray! It’s been exactly one year since the first post of Pure Cottongrass went online. And I can tell you, I still enjoy every little bit of blogging! The website has changed over time, I have changed, and all for the better, I think.
While I’m writing this post, I look out at a lovely green tree, right outside my window. Strange enough, in the mass of green, there are four leaves already coloured bright red. A year ago, I might not even have noticed that. Now, after writing about the small bits of nature for a year, there is no way I could have missed those funny little spots.
That is how much my view of the world has changed. I always used to be conscious of the nature around me, the green, the life. But through writing about it so much, I started to see more and more. Where at first it was more of an effort to “zoom in”, now it comes completely natural. Everywhere I go, I notice small grasses growing between the stones, mosses on the walls, tiny flowers in a sea of green. It’s become part of me, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
So, I’m really still so happy with my blog. I’m extremely grateful for all the nice comments you guys have left. And I hope to continue blogging for a long time still.
