With all this snow and ice of the past days, I have really started to think about my time in Norway again. It made me realise how much delicious, warming food I made when living there. I think it is time to turn the spotlight on some of my best wintery recipes again.
Oven-baked filled potato skins
What is better than warm, crispy potatoes, filled with creamy deliciousness?
Apple and berry crumble for one
Another great oven-baked recipe. This crumble will work as breakfast, lunch, snack or dessert, it’s up to you!
Healthier risgrød
I think risgrød is the very embodiment of comfort food. No kidding!
(Maybe I have turned into a Norwegian without realising it…)
Vegan cabbage curry
Back to another warming main course, this cabbage curry has seasonal ingredients, is warming, and easy to make.
Honey and walnut frozen yogurt
Yes, this is a recipe for frozen yogurt. But somehow, I still think it qualifies as a winter dish, as it has such a warm, soothing taste. Or maybe that is just the associations I have with it… Either way, I think you will love this, even with all the snow outside.
Slow cooker apple and berry compote
Finally, it wouldn’t be a winter recipe round up without a nice fruit compote.
